There are more than 100 ancient monuments in the Vale recognised as being of national significance and protected by law. Our Conservation and Design Unit work to protect and conserve these monuments for the future.

Our Trading Standards team work with other organisations to control outbreaks of animal disease. They also investigate animal welfare matters, inspect farms, animal markets and animal collection centres.
